Gary's homeless after a fire at the Blackstone hotel. It seems as if he's going to be without a place to hang out as well, when McGinty's bar is sold right out from under it's owner. But when Gary finds a connection between the selling of the bar and several other local buildings he's got to stop a greedy developer before he destroys a Children's home and McGinty's bar.


025 The Medal

A ceremony in his honor triggers years worth of guilt and flashbacks in a Vietnam hero, so Gary attempts to get him back in touch with his life and his family before he commits suicide. Meanwhile, Chuck's in love with his seafood supplier's daughter, and makes some risky moves to save the supplier and his daughter from a "protection" racket.


026 The Wedding

After Chuck arranges for McGinty's to cater a wedding, Gary is alarmed to read that the bride, Genie (Cari Shayne), and her father - who is a protected witness in a high profile corruption case - will both be assassinated during the ceremony. When Gary tries to warn Genie about the danger, Genie's bridegroom becomes concerned that Gary is suffering from a severe case of jealousy and tries to keep him as far away from his bride as possible.

While working on one last sting operation before his retirement, Detective Crumb is interrupted by Gary, who saves his life after reading that the stakeout will have deadly implications for the hero cop. Unfortunately, Gary's good intentions make matters worse for Crumb, who becomes targeted by a menacing district attorney, intent on ruining his reputation.

When Gary disappears, the paper is delivered to his parents' house, leading them to a band of circus performers. But the paper soon alerts Gary's father that an aerialist is about to commit a suicidal jump.

Trouble ensues when the thief announces he's turning good and wants Gary and Marissa to help him break into a museum and return some stolen masterpieces.

Although his parents are in town to surprise him for his birthday, Gary must leave his own party to prevent a mugging. He soon discovers that Renee, the woman he saves, is a childhood friend who has been targeted by a group determined to steal the disk carrying her research. Trouble continues to follow the couple when two men disguised as police detectives arrest Gary and Renee and search her office for the confidential computer program. When the pair makes a daring escape, Gary reads that his parents' will be taken hostage in exchange for the disk. With little time to spare, Gary must rely on the early edition to help him save the day!


044 Hot Time in the Old Town

When he is knocked unconscious while trying to stop a crooked construction foreman from causing a building collapse, Gary winds up back in the 1800s, where he faces the specter of another tragedy - the legendary Chicago fire. While he is determined to prevent history from repeating itself, Gary gets detained when he decides to help a young boy and his sister - who bears a striking resemblance to Marissa. Ultimately, Gary's actions have an effect on the present day disaster.


045 Second Sight

While Marissa believes her sight may be returning, Chuck is unable to resist his temptation for money when he's unsuccessful in an attempt to prevent a crash involving an armored-truck carrying cash. Also, Chuck discovers a victim of a mob murder!
