The four general rules of gun safety.

All guns are always loaded
Never let the muzzle cover anything that you are not willing to destroy
Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target
Be sure of your target and what is behind it.

Here are a few pictures from my English club, NADVAS - Notts and Derbys Vintage Arms Society.

A brilliant club situated at Ravenshead, a few miles north of Nottingham. There are 25-50yd ranges for rifles in most calibres and 100yd range for .22 rifles and blackpowder rifles.

There was a lot of pre-ban pistol shooting, but this has been replaced by some lever-action shooting in pistol calibre. There has always been a lot of rifle shooting, predominately in historic rifles.
