Game Preserve Ransundet

The estate "Ransundets Vilthägn" is since the 1800´s owned and operated by the Persson family. Today, the estate is operated and managed by the 6th generation. The preserve consists of ca 300 ha (ca 600 acres) and is domicile for Wapiti, Red Deer, Mufflon Sheep, Reindeer and Wild Boar.

To fully enjoy the grand beauty of Ransundet you should walk the ca 4,5 km long trail inside the preserve. The old machinery, tools and equipment of the estate can be seen at the equipment-shed, a miniature museum in the preserve. Within the preserve we arrange trophy hunting, outside the preserve small game hunting, for instance for Capercaillie, European Black Grouse, Willow Grouse, Snowshoe Hare, Beaver, etc.

The fishing distrikt Ransundet can boast with execellent fishing waters, for both summer and winter fishing ( ice fishing). Here you may catch Brown Trout, Artic Char, Artic Grayling, Perch, Northern Pike and Cisco (Powan). Here you will also find good accommodations at reasonable prices.
