| Aims | To develop an understanding of the objectives and techniques of aquatic resource management and coastal aquaculture and the environmental impacts of capture fisheries and aquaculture on coastal systems. | ||||
| Objectives | By the end of the module, you will have gained a broad understanding of human exploitation of marine and brackish-water resources on tropical coasts and the objectives and techniques of management. You will have developed skills in analysis and modelling of resource use and knowledge of techniques for promoting sustainable harvesting of resources. You will have learnt from the resource management failures of the past. You will have developed an understanding of tropical coastal aquaculture, its environmental impacts, and interactions between capture and culture fisheries. | ||||
