	"Lezione dell´Arte" or "Pantalone på friarstråt" is an educational play about Commedia dell´Arte. In this play you can see a weird and funny show and learn about Commedia dell´Arte at the same time. The performance is primarily directed towards senior high schools, folk high schools, Italian clubs, theatre-associations, and others who are interested in culture, but others can also enjoy the performance. Lezione dell´Arte also comes with a study material and it is possible to combine the performance with workshops or a seminar in Commedia dell´Arte.
The story-line in "Lezione dell´Arte" is built upon the play: "the Forced Marriage" by Jean-Baptiste Molière, but it also contains scenes from even older sources. The ensemble has improvised some scenes, and a few scenes do not have a script at all. The audience gets to meet ten of the most stock Commedia dell´Arte-masks, and through the performance they will meet different "styles" of Commedia dell´Arte. There is also a storyteller/musician (Tralala), who guides the audience through the performance and teaches about Commedia dell´Arte.
	"Lezione dell´Arte" also includes its own story that is very much worth seeing for its sake alone. The play is about Pantalone who wishes to marry a very young girl, and the way he comes to regret this decision. In his effort to find help with the question he meets one mask after the other. And the ending… well, you will see…
"Lezione dell´Arte" is not planned to play in open shows. Instead we will let the performance tour. In that way we believe that "Lezione dell´Arte" will find its own audience, who might be interested in workshops or study material together with the performance.
