Kompani
Komedi gives workshops in stage-acrobatics. We
work either with easier acrobatics for beginners
or more advanced flips and somersaults and other
acrobatics. But our goal in always to put the
acrobatics into a theatrical context where it
does not feel strained. In this way we turn both
to you who never worked with physical training or
to you who have been working with acrobatics or
gymnastics.
Mostly we work with two person-acrobatics, or
acrobatics that don't need a lot of people, to
make it easier to create dramatic situations.
Usually we start by working with easier jumps and
somersaults and later continue to more advanced
acrobatics.
Since we don't want to do
"circus-acrobatics" it is important to
use the acrobatics as something that will lift a
scene, something like putting music to a scene,
instead of being a number where one uses what we
call "exhibitionist-acrobatics". We are
also testing how to use acrobatics in different
theatrical genres. We also want the participants
to have the possibility to develop an acrobatic
imaginative power. We do this by examining (and
stretching) our physical limits, with different
lifts and jumps, to see what our bodies are able
to do. |
