Why is the input password for Windows requested continuously after fingerprint authentication in Magic Secure logon?

Even the user default is set to fingerprint, you should input Windows password in input column of user setting. The reason is that Magic Secure transmits user password to system after fingerprint authentication.

In system composition, Windows logon appears instead of Magic Secure logon.

Please check whether primary network logon is "Magic Secure Logon" in "Setting" / "Control Panel" / "Network" / "Network Configuration". If it does not contain "Magic Secure Logon", you should select "Network Configuration" / "ADD" / "Have Disk" and insert Magic Secure CD and designate path then Magic Secure Logon is installed.

There are many occasions that other persons use My PC. Is it possible to solely use folder encryption & screen saver function and not use Magic Secure Logon?

Definitely. Please select other except "Magic Secure Logon" as primary logon in "Setting" / "Control Panel" / "Network Configuration", then restart system.

Is it possible to encrypt the file only?

It is possible to some extent. In Magic Secure, encryption of only general file is impossible. Folder unit executes encryption. But, files in encrypted folder are available for encryption and decryption.

I reinstalled Magic Secure, but first user registration window did not appear.

If you want to reinstall and use system, you should remove it in "Control Panel" / "Add/Remove Program". Only user with "administrator" authority may remove the program. If you reinstall without following the procedures stated above, only the execution file will be newly installed and existing user information will be left.

Though the system operates well after installation, there are difficulties registration and authenticating the fingerprints.

Please try using it after wiping sensor part of Magic Secure with clean cloth. If you still have difficulties regarding the same matter, please check whether there is any problem with fingerprint image in "View" / "Settings" window of user administrator.

Available for Windows 95/98/NT. NT version is expected to be on market in January 2000.

There is no limit in the number of user registration.

The standard number of user registration is 800 persons and can be extended up to 2400, 6000 as well.

Of course, attendance management is possible. It is not only used in buildings, institutes, computer centers but also in restaurant, educational institute, driver's license, institute.

What could be the solution if fingerprint is damaged and it cannot be used?

It cannot be used if all 10 fingerprints are damaged. But, if you have undamaged finger, first remove registered fingerprint and register newly.

Fingerprints of the user is saved prior in the memory implemented in Door Lock. The registered data are compared with the fingerprints of the user every time he tries to enter. It supplements demerits such as loss, plagiarism, forgetting of existing digital key, ID card.
