Airsoft Rulebook
Rule 1:
Everybody who plays shall know the rules and obey them. If there are any unclear matters, ask the organizers. In some games, some special rules may affect the basic rules. I such cases these special rules are told before the the game. The special rules override basic rules, if they contradict eachother. The game organizers divide the teams for the game.
Rule 2:
Check you weapons and gear before start or you'll have to do it during ongoing game, and you're a target. Renting of weapons and gear, use "First come, First served" rule. A team walks in to the game zone at the same time. Don't be late or you might not be allowed to play. A player is economical responsible for his/her equipment, own/borrowed/hired. If you brakes or ruin something the your are economical responsible. Accidents do happen, but be careful and apologize if you are responsible for an accident, and pay for the damaged gear.
Rule 3:
If something is lost, dropped or disappear, report it to the organisers. Include markings and description of the thing. A finders fee should exist. Equipment that has been found, and nobody claims ownership of, are after 3 months owned by the organisers.
Rule 4:
All weapons should have a Barrel Blocker just as an extra precaution, or have the magazine removed, when the weapon isn't use in a game.
Rule 5:
All players, observers and judges will be using appropriate safety goggles in the game and in the vicinity of a game. The goggles must be approved and don't remove goggles during an ongoing game. All goggles will fit good and shouldn't move, even when the player run or moves. It's forbidden to shoot at someone without goggles, and report the incident to the organisers. A full mask isnt required.
Rule 6:
The maximal weight of a bullet, that is a 6mm plastic or biodegradable, is 0.36 grams. All weapons belong to one of the following three classes:
- Support, where the weapons can firee fullauto and has multiple HiCaps or Box magazines. Max 2000BB. The weapon is a full lenght weapon with bipods or look as a real supportweapon. Maximum energy is 1.5J (about 120m/s) and no heavier BB's than 0.25g.
- Sniper, that is either a semi or bolt action rifle. Full auto capability and HiCap's aren't allowed. Maximum energy is 2.0J (about 140m/s).
- Standard, that is almost any other weapon. Maximum energy is 1.5J (about 120m/s) and the bullets weight can't be heavier than 0.25g and no more than 600BB's.
Rule 7:
A "player" is someone who is aware of a game, is within the game area and is part of one of the teams. A player follows the rules. Anyone else is a Non player.
Rule 8:
One hit on any part of the body is an elimination (killed), no matter whom of the active players that fired the shot. Weapon hits doesnt count. Ricochets isn't hits. If a bullets deflects to some degree when it passes grass, bushes or leafs then the bullet isn't a ricochet. To aim for the head is not allowed, unless the target only shows those parts.
Rule 9:
A player who has been eliminated will confirm this by shouting out "HIT" and shall besides that hold up the hands above the shouldes, and walk out of the area without disturbing ongoing game. If the elimination has happened during a big fire fight, or similar, leave the area without disturbing the the game. All the time with the hands above the shoulders, unless the hands are needed for support.
Rule 10:
To deliberatly put nonplayers in risk of being fired at is considered hostage taking. This puts "innocent" people at risk and isn't allowed. To constrain an other player, via gear, cloth or other is not allowed, unless that person agrees to it. The only exception is a light tap anywhere on the body. This is considered to be a "knife kill". A "Knife Kill" means that the player has been eliminated with a knife. The eliminated player doesn't shout out that an elimination has occurred.
Rule 11:
In special scenarios where realism or other factors take part, special rules can apply. In ordinary games, Incarnation is used, ie a player that has been eliminated return to the base and wait there for 10 minutes. After the time has expired the player has reincarnated and can participate again. The time vary depending on the lenght of the game.
Rule 12:
Fireworks , pyrotechnics and similar devices is only allowed to produce safe effects, as smoke, light and sound, and they will have to pass inspection before the game.
Rule 13:
Observe the "No fire" zones. Active players aren't allowed to be in "No Fire" zones, or shoot in/over them. Watch the game areas borders. To damage other men's properties is forbidden. Be careful not to damage the nature your playing in. Vehicles aren't allowed unless the organizers says so.
Rule 14:
Avoid unnecessary violence. This means that all pointblank shoots should be avoided. If it is necessary, try and aim at legs and lower body. Shooting at eliminated players and judges is forbidden. To deliberatly shooting at eliminated players or at judges is forbidden.
Rule 15:
Knifes and other equipment with pointy or sharp edges should be placed in pockets or in bags during games. All electronic equipment is allowed, but can be limited by the game organisers. Laser sights, flashlights and similar can't be dangerous the eyes or ears. Lasersights must have less than 5mW optical effect.
Rule 16:
Eliminated players are not allowed to give away any information except confirming that they has been eliminated. Observers, judges and others aren't allowed to pass on information concerning an ongoing game.
Rule 17:
No time-outs, unless its an emergency that requires more than basic help. Strained ankles, bruses and similar aren't emergancies. Players that for some reason can't continue a game, should eliminate her/him self and walk of the game area. Any gear problem should be handled ingame. It is no allowed to walk out of the game area, fix the problem, and walk back.
Rule 18:
Judges decision is final. Do not argue. It doesn't matter if it's wrong, judges has the final word. Avoid timeconsuming discussions on field. Any participant that can't follow these rules, can be excluded from the game and organisation.
