I bought this weapon just so that I would have something to modify and besides that I like rifles. This rifle will hopefully be a reasonably good rifle when I'm finished modifying it.
This weapon in basically crap (the barrel is 616mm long with an inner diameter of 6.20mm), and it doesn't have HopUp or a good magazine mechanism. So, I'm adding an adjustable HopUp, new precision barrel and a new stronger spring.
The body is light and sounds hollow (with it is) so I have poured in a solution to make it solid. It feels much better now and the weight has increased to 2395g, and as a bonus the balance is now centered over the hand grip, just behind the triggerguard. Since I won't be using the realistic magazine with shells, I have filled the hole that the magazine leaved with plastic and smoothen the surface. This makes the rifle more comfortable to use and hold. A rifle should have a scope so I modified the base to accomodate a 4x20 scope, and in the process removed the open sights.
I've modified the mechanics and removed all safeties since they prevent and disrupt preformance, and who needs them anyway. Just don't hold the finger on the trigger all the time... A 0.7kg (1.5 pounds) pressure on the trigger fires the weapon.
The rifle has been spray painted in a black and green camouflage pattern, mainly because I wanted to try to paint it, and not to decease visability. I left all the nice metal parts like the bolt, trigger and triggerguard unpainted. It's a style thing and I think that the rifle looks better and it makes this weapon even more unique, it also accually makes the weapon harder to see.
