[Sounds Like Sara]

Sara started the band Sounds Like Sara in 1996 with, amongst others, Peter, also originally from Come Alive. They were (as almost every band is) in the rehearsal studio their first 18 months waiting for their first gig. 1998 they began playing live. It's been awesome with great response from audiences that have been wanting to buy that (still unreleased) CD. Sara writes all the lyrics and music with either Jens or Staffan. Together they structure and a put frame around the songs. In the rehearsal studio everyone works on arranging and colouring the material to make it finally Sounds Like Sara.

Sounds Like Sara played live on KB in Malmoe and really made it happen! Twice! First in July '98 as supporting act to Heavy Metal legend Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, and again supporting Heather Nova. Other gigs worth mentioning are the ones on Hardbreak in November '98 and on Sommarrock in Svedala in July '99 (see the gig list and the scrapbook)

The song "Raining On My Parade" was played on Swedish radio at P3 Demo in April 1999 to a very good review: "When it comes to good competent singers one can only say that Sara Heurlin has a voice that ought to make every talent scout get the taste of dollar bills in their mouth. The rest of the band is also worth mentioning. Incredibly tight and well played, in my opinion." The song is available at the mp3 page.

Soon the band to go into their own home studio, built in Peters' garage, to record their CD. Keep your eyes and ears wide open for that!
