Staffan Österlind was born in '73 and began his music career by miming to Gyllene Tider and Loverboy at junior level. Started guitar lessons age 9 to become a bass player, but soon realized that guitar was his thing. Played and wrote a lot of theater music during high school and also played in the symphonic-rock band Fence Around The Garden.
Moved from Eskilstuna in '93 to study music (i.e. rock and pop electric guitar) at the Institute Of Advanced Studies. Played in various original and cover bands such as Custard Pie (a Led Zeppelin concept band) and Slived Voodos (which toured Sweden).
Winter/Spring 1998 he was recruited by Sounds Like Sara.
Equipment: Gibson Les Paul Sparkle Red top '74, Fender Telecaster B-bender, Ibanez Artist double neck 6/12, various Ibanez acoustic guitars, Marshall 50/25 Silver Jubilee top, Marshall 4X12" with Celestion Vintage, Vox wah-wah, Mxr Phase 90, Boss CE-2 chorus, Boss DM-2 analog delay and various old Ibanez, Korg, Boss etc. It varies.

Favorite music includes: Anything Jimmy Page ever put his hands on, Yes, Queensrÿche, The Sweet and Star (which isn't that peculiar since Selma Yasitli is his fiancee).
