Most of our time goes to dogtraining! Mats works as an instructor at Falck Security, Malmoe.
His job is to train patroldogs. He have had dogs all his life, it all started with Ceasar, a S:t Bernhard.
Then came the Geman Shepherds Odyssen´s Mark & Odyssen´s Xerxes. Mark had unfortunatily
hipdysplasia (grade E) and was put to sleep at an early age.
Xerxes worked as a militarydog, and he still do that with his new owner. Mats sold Xerxes
because he didnt make it "all the way" as a patroldog. After that he bought Demonen´s Natz,
a German Shepherd male. He had come back to the breeder because of trouble with his dominance in his former
family. But after a little visit at the hospital with several bites in hands and arms they became best companions!
And he start to work with him as a patroldog for five years. When Natz became an older gentleman Mats bought
a black German Shepherd pup. He growed up to be a lovely dog but not what we expected of him. He now lives with
an older man as an companiondog. Now he works with our Laekenmale Allert as a patroldog, and they really have
a good time together!
Cecilia also have had dogs all her life. For me it all started as a newborn, with a Dobermann
who died of age when he was 14 years old. In came a German Shepherd called Arrac. When Arrac
was 8 years old he broke his backleg and was put to sleep. After him, she came at last: The dog of
my life! A Riesenschnauzerbitch called KORAD SBCH Wilma. I remember when I was 10 years old
and we compete in our first obediancetrial (unofficial, of course) and we won! I will always remember
that dog.
After her, next Riesenschnauzer came. His name was: Johnny Walker Black Label. Unfortunatily
he was not registerd in SKK so we could only compete in obediance. But we did manage 3 first prices in Elite,
so if he had been registerd in SKK he had been obediancechampion. We also compete in trackingclass II, but not
with any official results. Then I bought my first own dog, a Riesenschnauzer called Argus. He was put to sleep because
of a damage in his back. After him I changed breed to the Laekenois. Something I never regret!
That was little of ourself, and as you may understand, we are not so interested in shows.
Our hearts is totally dedicated to the workingdogs!
