The future In
todays world, the plastic age, it is hard to find a place for wrought
iron, though iron in someway never goes out of fashion. People mostly
think wrought iron is candlesticks and chandeliers, but as I tell my pupils
at the beginning of every class : -The limit is your imagination
When you study a 17th century gate , made without a welding set, power
cutter, or even stock in the proper dimensions, you must respect the cunning
and pride of those who made it. In that spirit I try to honour my forefathers, by making my items with craftmanship, and I hope that YOU in the future, can tell the difference between my candlesticks and welded ones produced in the third world. |
