Ulla Bagelius
Librarian,
Manager of the Adult - Division
Solna Library, Sweden
After i had passed a Master Degree within Social Science I abandoned a profession as an Air hostess at the Worldwide Scandinavian Airliner, SAS, and joined the more earth oriented work as a librarian. I have never regretted my choice. There are always opportunities to learn and to grow. The development of the societies are mirrored in the literature. Look around in the literature open your minds and taste and feel on the Ancient History, the Presence, and as well as the Future. Solna library is connected to the Global Electronic Internet Turnpikes and the library mediates music, arts as well as to books and papers to many foreigners as well as Swedes. The library is a meltpot of fellow Citizens
I myself am an omnivore when literature is concerned. To travel is to live. Visit distant sites make me happy. I also make journeys in the literature. Among the books just have read, I recommend the French author, Francis Mauriac's book , "The Snake's Nest". Francois turns out to be a master to penetrate psychology and relationships in a bourgeoisie French environment. Niclas Radstrom, a Swedish author, develops the human relationships between a Young boy and his Grandfather in his book, "Mellan Tiden Tänker på Annat". And of course, I like to make "sudden" journeys on the Net.
