Engines

The following engines can be seen at the Museum
• Alvis Leonides, English 9 cylinder Radial engine, 550 hp, for the Pembroke
• Packard Merlin, American licence build engine for the Mustang. V12 , 4 valves per cylinder, 2 stage compressor with Inter cooler. Power 1650 hp
• Meteor V12 almost the same as Merlin, no compressor. Used in Centurion Tank, 700 hp
• RM 1 Goblin First generation jet engines, 1 stage Radial compressor , thrust 1500 kp
• RM 2B Ghost Licence build in Sweden for J 29 ,J33 Venom, thrust 2270 kp, 2800 kp reheat
• RM 5 Avon used in A32 Lansen och J34 Hunter .Thrust 3460 kp, 4700 kp reheat.
