My name is Per Hansson and i live in Gävle a town about 20 swedish mil north of Stockholm.
I work as a paramedic in this town since 1988, the name of the organization are Ambulanssjukvården Gästrikland and it´s have 11 ambulances and one Volvo V70 equipped same as an ambulance but without a stretcher, in the Volvo It´s one paramedic and one anesthetic-nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We work 24 hours and then leave for two days, we do so for three weeks and then one week only daytime 0800-1600. We are totally 46 paramedic and a several deputes with same skill and education. There are also a number of anesthetic-nurse on schedule working with us. Once a year we do test and practice to be delegated for treatment outside hospital and in trauma situations. The anesthetic-nurse have much more medication and other equipment.
