This week on the Gloria's debut album is #1 only after two weeks on the chart. This group includes both Sara Isaksson and Rebecka Törnquist. The single (Party on my own) from this album is one of my favourite songs right now. On 4th place Rainbirds storms towards the absolute top position. This live album was released in January of this year and I just got hold of a copy of the album. All previous albums with Rainbirds has reach the #1 spot. Seven different #1 since the first one back on the first chart in 1991. It will be even tougher at the top when I get my copies of Indigo girls and Cowboy junkies new albums. Together with Rainbirds and Cocteau twins this band have been dominating the chart over the years. There are artists that have been coming and going over the years but they have been there all the time. Cocteau twins will have no more new albums on the chart this because they have split up. At the moment Sam Phillips have 5 albums in the top 20. Since 1991 there are not that many artists that have been that dominating over the years.

Welcome to my album chart. The chart has been published on the Internet since the summer of 1997. The first chart are from the fall of 1991 on this chart Rainbirds was number one with their album 'Two faces' on my album chart.

The chart has nothing to do with any sales of the records. My chart shows every week what is my favourite albums at the moment. The main criteria are for be on the chart is that I have the album on CD or tape. The only thing that matters is my feelings about the record. The chart is purely based on my personal taste. Important is if I been listening to the album lately. If I also like it surely will rise on the chart. Sometime ago this chart was nominate as site of the day on the Swedish newspaper 'Expressen' site on the 4th of July 1998.

Sometimes you might notice that albums that are not that new are high on the chart. One example is Sheryl Crow with her second album, the reason that Sheryl took over 52 weeks to reach the top position is that it took me sometime to discover what a great album it really was.

After over 300 charts since the first one back in 1991 there have been different artist has dominated the chart. The first two charts back in 1991 did have two different albums from one artist - Rainbirds. Every of their 7 albums that entered my chart with Rainbirds have been #1 since the first chart. In 1996 Sarah McLachlan's 'Fumbling towards ecstasy' did spend 12 straight weeks at #1 This year Sam Phillips have been dominating the chart with her three albums that entered the chart in 1999.
