Heather recording in New York

Heather Nova is in New York, New York, working on yet another track for the long awaited following to "Siren", this time with a mysterious "female producer" (that's a first for her!). We already reported in our previous newsletter that Heather was busy recording in the United States in December, in Los Angeles to be precise, but apparently it doesn't seem like she wants to stop! Producer Felix Tod just told HNO: "She keeps writing new songs!! There's an album all recorded, but Heather keeps adding tracks!". Well, I'm sure none of us would really mind if she'd opted for a double CD...

As you might already know, studio sessions for the new record started in June last year in London, with the Heather Nova live band line-up going through new material under the direction of Felix Tod. Then, after a brief european summer tour, Heather re-entered the studio in England briefly, before flying off to the United States.

The flow of creativity doesn't seem to stop here: Heather just finished working on another project, that doesn't include wha-wha pedals and overdubbings this time.

The rumor has been circulating for a long time now, but now it's official. Heather Nova just completed work on her first book, which will contain her poems, writings and drawings. It's gonna be available in spring/summer, just like the new record...
