Rainbirds + me ?
The first time I did discover the band was when I saw their video for the Song Two faces on TV. The Video is directed by Anton Corbijn (known from Depeche Modes video among other things). The video was shoot in a desert, this is one the few things that I remember of it today. It was instant love with song from me, I did buy the album. It was a great album. I started look to see is there where any more albums with the band. I did find their second album Call me easy.. in a local record shop. This was back in the fall of 1991. Call me easy is.. is also a great album like Two faces. The next album that I did get hold of by the band was their debut album. I did order it through a friend from a post order firm in Norway I also ordered their fourth album but they did not have copy of it. In the spring of 1995 I was on a trip in Berlin and did now buy In a different light finally. In the summer of 1996 a friend of mine was in Germany and him found the album Making memory (that had been released in March of the same year). So I got a tape of that summer and it took me a year to find a own copy of the album. I did find out there was a mail order company in Gothenburg, Sweden that I got order all the their albums. So in the end of the summer of 1997 I got the information that there would be a new album soon by the band. It took me some time to get hold of the album and it was worth the time to wait. Some weeks ago a friend of mine was in Germany so asked him before he went if he could buy The Mercury years Best of 87-94 album. So now my collection of Rainbirds album is complete.
