Sarah McLachlan

This site is about the wonderful Sarah McLachlan that have made one of my favourite albums of all time 'Fumbling towards ecstasy'. Her latest release was in the spring/summer of 1999 with the live album 'Mirrorball'. Here in Sweden Sarah is not at all famous and there are very little information about her at all. So my only source is the Internet.

The first time that heard something from Sarah was one day while flipping through the TV channels there was this song that really made me stop and listen. The song was 'Fear' from the album 'Fumbling towards ecstasy'. After this song and one or two others I bought the album. When I got home and put in the CD player and started to listen to it I was sold. For weeks I listen to it again and again. This is one of the few albums that sound great the first time and the more I listen to it the better it was.

The next albums that I bought was 'Touch' (the debut album) and 'The freedom session'. They are both good albums but for me 'Fumbling towards ecstasy' is still the number one. The nice thing with 'The freedom sessions' is that it has a multimedia part and I was able to watch some extract of Sarah videos.

Sarah's next album was 'Surfacing' this a great album I got my copy on import from US and did not to wait two months for the European release. The album is not in 'Fumbling..' class but it is a very good album with good songs like 'Building a mystery' and 'Full of grace'. One song that not are on 'Surfacing' but only in a movie (The Brothers McCullen, I think it is called) is 'I will remember you'.

In last couple years Sarah has been the driving force behind the touring festival 'Lilth fair' in the US and Canada. On this tour only female artist was performing. Sarah's last album is a live album called 'Mirrorball'. I can't say much about the album because I have not got a copy of it yet. The first version of 'Mirrorball I saw in the shops was a double CD with both 'Surfacing' and 'Mirrorball'.
