· No Doubt has entered the studio to begin recording some new material for the next album. They are focusing on the four or five songs that seem to sum up the direction of what they've written so far. Some photos from the sessions are promised on the official page and also the notorious photo journal should be up in a couple of weeks ;)

· Gwen and Tony are in the Sublime feature-length documentay entitled "Stories, Tales, Lies and Exaggerations". Amongs interviews Gwen and Brad also perform "Saw Red" together on it. Read more about it on SonicNets site.

May_98:

· Swedish National radio, P3, May 22nd announced that the band has written about 20 new songs and that the album is going under the working name "Magic's in the makeup" or something like that. The announcer just sort of mumbled it so I couldn't really hear. They also said that the band are planning to get the album out at the end of this year. And like most of the Swedish announcers this one also pronounced Stefani wrong. They say it: steff-annie. But we all know that it's pronounced: stef-onn-ie. And if you didn't know, now you do. And please tell all your friends too so that we can stop this madness ;)
Listen to the segment here in real audio. In Swedish.

· As previously informed No Doubt has recorded a song with Elvis Costello entitled "I Throw My Toys Around". Also Gwen has recorded a duet with Brian Setzer for his next CD, and Billy Idol has sung some vocal parts with Gwen on a version of the Clash song "Hateful" for a upcoming Clash tribute CD.

· No Doubt's horn section consisting of Gabe McNair and Steve Bradley played horns on the latest Green Day album "Nimrod" now they will also go on tour with them for about three weeks.

· May 8th at 23:00h Swedish byuers channel "Canal+" will show ND live from LA. Most likely it's an edited version of live in the Tragic Kingdom. It's supposed to run for an hour.
Source: Mathias Englund.

· The recording of the song entitled "I throw my toys around" written by Elvis Costello went well. It will be out on a movie soundtrack sometime in the summer. No one knows which and Tom will announce it on the official page. The gigs in Hawaii also seem to have gone well.
Source: The official ND homepage.

April_98:

· No Doubt are set to play two shows in Hawaii. Friday, May 1st, they will play at Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului, Maui with the Vandals. And on Saturday, May 2nd, they will play the previously announced gig at the Turtle Bay Hilton in Oahu with the Vandals and Madness.

· No Doubt are going to record a song that Elvis Costello has written for them. He'll be coming to LA to produce the song with them and it should turn up on a film soundtrack in a few months.

· April 15th the official No Doubt page has promised a big update. 8pm PST that is about 17:00 h here in Sweden.

· According to various sources "Hey You" has apperantly been released on single in Holland.

· May 2nd is the date that No Doubt will play with Madness in Hawaii. Now added are also the Vandals. The event is supposed to take place at the Turtle Bay Hilton in Honolulu, Hawaii.

· Some satus on the new record: It will take the time it takes and No Doubt are not going to rush it. Gwen and Eric has also sat down and listened to some songs and Erics thinks that they are doing fine without him so no one really knows if he will have any part of the album. I think the record company wants to see a record out as soon as possible but No Doubt are not pushing anything. And that's probably the best thing to do even if we have to wait.

March_98:

· It's said that No Doubt will play a concert with Madness in Hawaii. I don't know when but this will probably be the only gig that they'll do this year.

· Those of you that thought that it was strange when Tom in SonicNet's chat said that No Doubt was going compete with all the new ska bands out there can be calm. Apparently SonicNet misquoted him. Tom said that they are not going to try and compete with all the new ska bands.

· One of the best No Doubt sites and a longtime favorite to many of us has sadly left us. No Doubt Anytime seems to have gone to the grave. It was a great site and an inspiration to us all but I guess that Kevin finally had enough. It will be missed though.

· According to MTV Gwen will attend a benefit held April 16th called "Stormy Weathers 98'". Read the article from MTV online here.

· Gwen has now moved out of her parents house in Orange County to her own place. She has gotten herself a house in the Loz Feliz hills. It has a beautiful view and not only that, Gwen has her very own swimming pool too. That's the life in sunny California I guess :)

· Now that No Doubt are settled in at home they have had time to update the official ND page. Tom himself has written a note and promised some changes to the site will occur during the month of March. Check it out for yourself at: the official ND page.

Rumor has it that a release date is set for August 12th but that's not confirmed. Also rumored is that the album will be called Camelot or something like that. This could be false though.

· Chat with Tom Dumont from No Doubt. Monday, February 23rd, 7:00PM EST Tom Dumont, guitarist from No Doubt, talked about their Grammy nomination for "best pop group with a vocalist," their platinum album "Tragic Kingdom," and plans for the next No Doubt record. http://www.sonicnet.com/sonicore/chat

· Thanks to Anna Eriksson for this info: In People magazine Gwen is one of the ten trendsetters in '98 (no.6 track pants). No Doubt about it: Rocker Gwen Stefani, 28, is sprinting ahead of the hip-hop style pack. "She likes to wear two things that don't go together," says one of her favorite designers, Deborah Viereck, "because it draws attention to each piece." One piece that Gwennabes have run out to adopt is the striped track pant. With Stefani's influence, says Steve McLean, an apparel manager at Adidas, "sales of athletic pants have been unbelievable -- and are still going strong." http://www.pathfinder.com/people/sp/

The video is from the album "Laugh" the track was namned "Ballad..." something I didn't hear really. But I recorded it and I will check it out. They only showed a couple of secondes but anyway! Adrian had a blue and white shirt, they are in this room, and he is lying down with a "drink" and a banana in his hands! Gwen is wearing a dress and has a striped sweater under the dress, and she has a really cool haircut. She talks on the phone and is looking out the window and sees Terry. There's one more in the room. It's pretty hard to see who it is but I think it's Tony he is reading the paper!!! Terry is waking by outside and looks in !!

· 25: MTV Europe aired "Live n' Loud" with No Doubt. A 30 minutes short version.

· Despite everything I've previously heard the "Live in the TK" video has now been released in Sweden too!

· 17: Swedish Television show "Voxpop" had it's season finale for the fall. They had the best videos of the year and No Doubt was "nominated" with "Sunday Morning". Unfortunately they finished second from the bottom, but Hanson won and the Backstreet Boys came second and that says alot about who voted. So we shouldn't feel to bad about it.

· No Doubt has made a video for "Oi to the world" USA MTV Live has broadcasted it. This info is taken from the Doghouse: Apperantely Gwen is dressed in Middle East style one minute, next with bangs straight down - Punk-skinhead look. For those of you that don't know "Voxpop" is a television show that shows 10 new music videos every week and you can call in and vote for your favourite and the 4 videos that get the most votes will be shown in next week's show.
