Official release date: April 10th-00 in Europe and April 11th-00 in the US. "Return of Saturn" is the follow up album to the incredibly sucessful "Tragic Kingdom" that placed No Doubt on the map. "TK" was their third album that after ten long years as a band gave No Doubt their breaktrough worldwide. "TK" was released in 1995 and followed by massive touring that stretch as far as May 2,1998. In Hawaii that night Gwen said "This is our last show then we're going to write a record, OK?". From there on the song writing/recording process really started and now the band is ready to release this long awaited follow up album. Here is an article from L.A. Times dated August 22, 1999 that talks about the album at that stage. "No Doubt about it: A deeper sound emerges" In november 1999, No Doubt did a little mini-tour on the U.S. West coast and they played a whole bunch of new songs that were bound to end up on the album. It says here that "Simple kind of life" is going to be the first single, and it was, but then they changed their minds and went with "Ex-girlfriend".
