"Return of Saturn" is the follow up album to the incredibly sucessful "Tragic Kingdom" that placed No Doubt on the map. "TK" was their third album that after ten long years as a band gave No Doubt their breaktrough worldwide. "TK" was released in 1995 and followed by massive touring that stretch as far as May 2,1998. In Hawaii that night Gwen said "This is our last show then we're going to write a record, OK?". From there on the song writing/recording process really started and now the band is ready to release this long awaited follow up album.

Here is an article from L.A. Times dated August 22, 1999 that talks about the album at that stage. "No Doubt about it: A deeper sound emerges"

Here is an article from SonicNet.com that is dated December 14, 1999. "No Doubt Space Out On 'Return Of Saturn'". Talks about the albums title, what the records about and other things. It says here that "Simple kind of life" is going to be the first single, and it was, but then they changed their minds and went with "Ex-girlfriend".

Here is another article, this one from CDnow.com, entitled "No Doubt talks about it's new material beyond 'Return Of Saturn'" from March 15-00.
