This MP3-page does not contain any MP3-files since you can find nearly any song on other sites. But what's not as easy to find is how to make your own Mp3s, and that is what I'm going to explain to you! You will have to download some programs, but the programs that you're about to download are good programs (probably the best programs for making MP3s). Here are also LINKS to cracks for the programs. The programs are for Windows95/NT because I believe that they're the most common operative-systems. NOTE!!! Since the files are NOT mine, I can not be held responsible for the harm that the files might do to your computer or what you will do with the files. I am NOT responsible in any possible way. The ONLY ONE that is RESPONSIBLE if ANYTHING happens is YOU. (Nothing should go wrong with your computer, but if... then you know the drill.) BTW, Remember that you can only use the cracks if you purchased the wares before and somehow erased the original copy(?). Also, as far as I know none of these files are illegal, if one is please notify me and I'll remove the link almost immediately, I suppose that it's not illegal to download cracks, but it is illegal to use them. BTW2, If you use a crack on a program and you like the program, then buy it. Otherwhise you might have to live the rest of your life with a bad conscience and constant nightmares. BTW3, Every program that is mentioned in this text is available to download at the bottom of this page. That should cover my back... then let's get started!Making MP3s
Ripping: The first thing to do is to copy a song to your harddrive from an audio CD, this is called ripping, and to rip songs you will need a program. I've tried several programs and I think that the best program for ripping songs from CDs is WinDac. Windac does not work with all cdrom drives, but the most. Try to download it and see if it works with your cdrom driver. Do like this: (0. Download da shit) 1. Install da shit. 2. Insert an audio cd in your cdrom drive. 3.Open WinDac (the first time you open WinDac it will detect your cdrom drive. If it doesn't, then YOU will have to try to add your drive by yourself. Just click "DAC" and then "add drive", there you can fill in what drive you have and SCSI options.) 4. Mark a song that you want to rip and choose "Actions" and then "copy track(s)" and after that click the box that says "OK". If a message appears that says that your drive's not ready, then your drive can't rip or you'll have to change the settings in WinDac. Since this never happened to me, I'm not so sure how to change the settings. But you can try by yourself, click "DAC", "Configure drive" and select the tab "copy". Try to change whatever you feel might be wrong, with other words: Use the force! If you don't get it to work... then you can't use WinDac32. You'll have to find some other program to rip for you. Sad, but it's the truth. You can rip 5 songs with the shareware version, after that you either got register it or crack it. Encoding: Well, let's say that WinDac worked perfectly and you've managed to rip a song from an audio cd to your harddrive. Now you will need a MP3 encoder, you'll need this cause you have to encode the .WAV file that you got from your cdripper into a .MP3 file. I'm using a very good encoder called "MP3 Compressor", it's freeware. The only problem with this program is that it's illegal because it uses the Layer-3 ACM driver from Fraunhofer. If you're one of those brave motherfuckers who choose to ignore da law, then please go ahead and download MP3 Compressor. This is how to operate MP3 Compressor. It's very simple, 1. Install MP3 Compressor 2. Open MP3 Compressor 3. Click on the box that says "preferences" and make sure that 1. Quick encoding is selected, 2. "MP3 format" is selected and that "WAV Mpeg Layer3 Format" is not. Now your settings are correct and click "OK" to choose these settings. 4. Enter the directory where the cdripper saved the .WAV file and mark it, now click the box that says "compress" and MP3 Compressor will start to encode the .WAV file. If you're just waiting for MP3 Compressor to get done and you're not using any other program at the time of the encoding, then set the priority to "high". If you're working with something else, then leave the priority on "idle". If you DON'T want to download MP3 Compressor, then you can download "Fraunhofer's L3enc/L3dec". This encoder is for DOS and it's very, VERY slow, but it is a good encoder. If you want to use Fraunhofer's L3enc/L3dec, then this is how to operate it: 1. Unzip Fraunhofer's L3enc/L3dec into a suitable directory 2. Copy your ripped .WAV file to that directory 3. If you haven't registered Fraunhofer's L3enc/L3dec then type: (the shareware can only encode at 112Kbyte/sec and the registered version can encode with 256Kbyte/sec.) l3enc.exe yourwave01.wav yourwave01.mp3 -br 112000 -hq and if you have registered it, (or cracked it, you dirty ****) then type: l3enc.exe yourwave01.wav yourwave01.mp3 -br 128000 -hq 4. Wait for a while and when the encoding process is done, then you have made your own MP3 song. There are a lot of great encoders out there and if you don't want to download MP3 Compressor, then choose another encoder than Fraunhofer's L3enc/L3dec, because I think that it's too slow. These two encoders are the only encoders I've tried, and that's why I haven't recomended any others. BTW, The best MP3 player is WinAmp, you can download it a bit down.
