This is the answer I got from the Clerk of Appelate Courts in Minnesota 980715.
We have received your request for appeal and affidavit in support of appeal, an October 3 1997 letter to a Swedish court regarding your case in Minnesota, preface to an appeal to a Swedish court, comments about the Minnesota proceedings that appear to be directed to the Supreme Court in Sweden; and a February 14 1997 statment apparently submitted to the Hennepin County District Court in connection with your case. None of these paper are sufficient to file an appeal.
You did not provide a copy of the trial court decision from wich you wish to appeal and we are unable to determine whether the time for appeal has passed.
You also did not provide an original notice of appeal conforming to the court's rules.
You did not provide two copies of a statement of case complying with Minnesota Rule of Civil Appellate Procedure 133.03.
You did not submit the required 250 dollar filing fee or proof that appeal papers were served on the attorney for the other party in the case and filed with the trial court administrator.
Because you have not complied with any of the requirements for filing an appeal in Minnesota Court of Appeals, we can take no action on your case.
If you hve questions about filing an appeal, you should consult an attorney and review the Minnesota Rules of Civil Appelate Procedure. We cannot offer you legal advice or assist you in preparing appeal papers. At this time, the court will take no action on your submission.
Very truly yours,
Clerk of Appellate Courts
