Kadafi (Yafeu Fula) was a member of Tupac's backup group, the Outlaw Immortalz. The group changed it's name after his and Tupac's deaths to Tha Outlawz. He was riding in the car behind Tupac on the night of the shooting, and was a key witness in the murder investigation. But he was murdered exactly only two months after Tupac. On the 13th of November, Kadafi, or Yafeu Fula, was shot once in the head in a hallway on the third floor of a low cost apartment building on 325 Mechanic St. in Irvington, New Jersey. He lived in Montclair, NJ, but had been visiting his girlfriend. Police found him at 3:48 a.m., and paramedics took him to the University Hospital in Newark, where he died in the afternoon. They later arrested two suspects, a 16- and a 17-year old boy, on murder and weapons charges related to the death of 19 year old Yafeu Fula. The police are saying there is no connection between the murders of Yafeu and Tupac. Yafeu was the only witness of the shooting who was willing to talk, but police say that he had become unwilling to co-operate and they didn't even know where he was until he turned up dead in New Jersey. They were preparing a photo/suspect line-up for him to take part in. The police also said that he had become less willing to cooperate after he had turned to the lawyer of Death Row Records, David Kenner, who also represents Marion “Suge” Knight.
Tupac was as known killed the night of a Tyson fight, and so was Yafeu, the Tyson-Holyfield fight was that same night he was killed. Many of Yafeu's friends belive that he and Tupac where half-brothers, that they had the same father, and some also say that they were cousins, but they were godbrothers. Their mothers, Afeni Shakur and Jaasmyn Fula, are close friends. In the obituary for Tupac, Jaasmyn was listed as his aunt.
