Raphael Saadiq (Raphael Wiggins) is a member of the group
Tony Toni Toné, who debuted in 1988. On his own, Raphael recorded a song called Me And You for the Boyz in the Hood Soundtrack, and also the track Ask Of You for the Higher Learning Soundtrack. He is also on the Luniz's song Jus Mee & U off their Lunitik Musik album.

The latest you heard of him with Tony Toni Toné was on their hit
"Let's Get Down", a track he also produced. He has produced tracks for
D'Angelo, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, En Vogue, Total and more. Multi-talented Raphael also plays bass and keyboard. His newest solo single is a collaboration together with Q-Tip, Get Involved.
D'Wayne Wiggins of the band is Raphael's brother, and the other member Tim Christian Riley is their cousin. Raphael is a muslim like many other in the industry, hence the name Saadiq which means A man of his word. He explains why he chose to change names like this: "I wanted my own identity and my own name, I like what it represents and I feel better with that name."
