Keith Sweat is born and raised in Harlem, New York. His mom's name is Juanita Sweat and he has a daughter named Keia, but he is not married. He now lives in Atlanta where he runs the record label Keia Records and his own restaurant and nightclub The Industry. Under his over 10 year long musical career Keith has worked with famous artist like Gerald Levert, Ronald Isley, Aaron Hall, Buddy Banks, LL Cool J and Dru Hill, he produced two tracks for their first album. Keith started his singing career at the age of 4 and later on he performed for the first time with a New York based group called Jamilah. Keith sent a demo tape to Vincent Davis, president of Vintertainment Recordings, and he got signed immediately. Since then, he has released 5 albums, the last two were recorded at his studio The Sweat Shop in Atlanta. In 1991 he left Vintertainment to make a deal with their distributor, Elektra Records. Around the same time, he discovered Silk, a band from Atlanta that would later become the first band to sign on to his own label Keia Records, named after his daughter. Silk's biggest hit is Freak Me, a track produced by Keith, a cover of that song made by Another Level has topped the charts. In the Summer of 1996 he released his fifth album titled Keith Sweat with hit singles like Twisted and Nobody. His most recent album is called Still In The Game.
