som Metallica gjorde när Jason Newsted hade blivit ny
basist. Metallica hade just skrivit på ett kontrakt med
det stora skivbolaget Phonogram, som föreslog att deras
första skiva för dem skulle bli något annorlunda.
Metallica var bland de första banden att göra en skiva
enbart med covers. Inspelad i Lars Ulrichs ljudisolerade
garage. Enligt ryktet tog skivan bara fyra dagar att
spela in, och ytterligare två dagar att mixa. Denna skiva var en slags uppföljare till maxi-singeln ‘Creeping death - Garage days revisited’, som innehöll cover-låtarna ‘Am I Evil?’ och ‘Blitzkrieg’. |
