For centuries, dolphins have enchanted men with their playful nature and stunning displays of intelligence. Dolphins, like whales and porpoises, are members of the family of ocean-going mammals known as cetaceans. They are warm-blooded, breathe air through a blowhole located at the top of their head and bear live-young. Dolphins inhabit both warm and cool waters around the world´s oceans. With their muscular, streamlined bodies, dolphins are fast, agile undersea swimmers. They can easily out-race most fish and are often seen keeping pace with high-speed motorboats.
