Scuba diving in the Maldives with Joacim and Anders.
We visited Maldives during February 1995, there we stayed at the island Kuredo, which is managed by Swedish people. You are not allowed to bring any alcohol or pornographic material in the country. The airport is covering one small island, from where you take the boat to your hotel island. The boat ride to Kuredo took 4 hours. We had very big waves during our trip. So a lot off people took the helicopter back to the airport, when it was time to go back after 2 weeks. Kuredo is a quite big island, it takes about 1 hour to walk around it. The sand is white and soft. It had one big center house with a shop, a bar and a restaurant. The food is wonderful if you like fish. We had one orientation dive at the island and then we started off with 1 week diving safari to the Baa atoll. During the safari we saw ship wrecks and a lot off scorpion fish, Capricorn fishes, lion fishes, lobsters, napoleon fishes, dolphins, eagle rays, mantas, tuna fishes, moray eels, nurse sharks, clown fishes, trigger fishes, gray reef sharks, trumpet fishes, parrot fishes, box fishes, nude branches, octopuses, stone fishes, turtles and many more spices. We also visited many islands with small villages and big mosques. The safari was wonderful and so was the food and all the sites.
