Me and my friend Martin
went to Cancun in Mexico for 4 weeks in February 2001, we stayed in Playa del
Carmen, which is situated 1 hours drive south of Cancun. In Playa del Carmen the
is only one gay bar, called Club 69 it is on Avenue 5 opposite the restaurant
Blue Lobster. There is not so many gays there until very late, even though
there are many gay men in Playa del Carmen.
In cancun there is 2 bars
and one disco, we only went to the disco Caramba at Avenida Tulum 87, just 2
blocks from the bus station. They have a good strip show and muscular gogo
boys. The Mexicans are very nice and friendly.
The gay beach in Playa del
Carmen is located at the northern part of the beach. You will have to walk 30
minutes north from Scuba Zoo and then you see small sunshades built from
seaweed on the beach and the beach gets very narrow and turns to the right.
Stop, you have walked to far, get back 100 meters.
