Europride 1997 in Paris

We went to Paris the last weekend in June during Eurogay 1997, there we stayed at Central Hotel in the heart off the gay quarter in Paris. At the evening there are a lot off gay bars in Paris that you can go to, depending off what you like and are looking for. We really enjoyed Banana café, Amnesia and Le Bar. The best disco is still Queen at Champs-Elysees, where the men undress and dance through out the night.

At Saturday it was time for the big parade with 150 000 people walking and dancing on the streets and 250 000 people standing along the way looking. It was wonderful with both political demonstrators and disco floats with young muscular naked men dancing. It took the parade 4 hours to pass us, we then went back to the hotel for some sleep and then went to the garden party with the Metro.

At the party there was a lots of good artists like Jakie Quarts, Ellie Medeiors, Dead or Alive, Jimmy Somerville, Sister Queen, Abbacadabra, Eve Callagher and Boney M and many more. But we started at Gordons Gin party tent where there where free drinks to get heated up for the night. After dancing until 5 o'clock in he morning, it started to rain and we went back to the hotel through the streets of Paris.
