Sitges 1998

We went to Barcelona and Sitges during 7-17 of August 1998. In Barcelona we stayed at Hotel California at Raurich 14 close to the big walkingstreet Les Rambles and in Sitges we stayed at Montserrat Apartments at Calle Antonio Gaudi 11 in the gay quarters. We have stayed here before and it was very good. In Barcelona we went to Dietrich bar at Consell de Cent 255 they have dragshows and go-go boys, it is a very nice and crowded bar. Just around the corner lies Punto bar at Muntaner 63, it is a big and fancy bar. The best disco is Metro at Sepulveda 185, it is very big and crowded with 2 dancefloors and a big darkroom. At Wednesdays they have Espumapartys, that is foampartys, they fill the dancefloor and the surrounding areas with foam and then you dance in it with just beachwear, it is very sexy and exciting, lots of hot and hard bodies throbbing together. We also went to another disco called Arena at Balmes 23, but is was not so good.

In Sitges the gay beach is right in town at the right side of the pier with the Red Cross house. You can't miss it, it is always crowded with sexy boys. There are lots of good bars, one is Azul at Calle San Bonaventura 10, lots of men and nice bartenders, and they also show sex videos. Another good bar is Seven at Calle Nou 7, it is very crowded and popular. But all the people get together around 1:00 o'clock at El Candil at Calle Carreta 9. It has a small dance floor but people dance everywhere in the bar, and the air condition is very good. At around 2:00 o'clock Mediterraneo at Calle San Bonaventura 6. It has a big dancefloor and two big bars and at the second floor it has a relaxing room and poolroom, it is just as big as a disco. After Mediterraneo around 4:00 o'clock the people goes to Disco Trailer at Calle Angel Vidal 36. It is OK with two bars around a lowered dancefloor. You can also go to Disco PlayBoy at Calle Bonaire 15, but is not so good as Trailer. If you still have energy after the disco there is heavy cruising at the boardwalk along the beach. A good gym in Sitges is Gimnasio Sitges at San Bartolomé 9, they have new machines ideal for pumping iron for the evening or the beach. This was the 3:rd time we went to Sitges and we have always been very pleased with our stays in Sitges. We strongly recommend Sitges for a gay vacation.
