Sitges 2000
We went to Barcelona and
Sitges during August 2000. In Sitges we stayed at Hotel Liberty at Isla de Cuba
45, close to the railway station and the gay quarters. We stayed here last year
and it was fabulous. Excellent buffet breakfast and very friendly staff. At
Friday night we went to Barcelona and Punto bar at Muntaner 63, it is a big and
fancy bar. Just around the corner lies Dietrich bar at Consell de Cent 255 they
have dragshows and go-go boys, it is a very nice and crowded bar. At this two
bars you can get a free gay guide for Barcelona and Sitges, they also got free
tickets for many of the clubs in barcelona.
The only foam disco in
Sitges is in Club Trailer at Calle Angel Vidal 36, it is very crowded with 1
dancefloors . At Wednesday and Sundays they have Espumapartys, that is
foampartys, they fill the dancefloor and the surrounding areas with foam and
then you dance in it with just beachwear, it is very sexy and exciting, lots of
naked sexy muscular men dancing and doing more ....
In Sitges the gay beach is
right in town at the right side of the pier with the Red Cross house. You can't
miss it, it is always crowded with sexy boys. There are lots of good bars, one
is Azul at Calle San Bonaventura 10, lots of men and nice bartenders, and they
also show sex videos. Another good bar is Seven at Calle Nou 7, it is very
crowded and popular. But all the people get together around 1:00 o'clock at El
Candil at Calle Carreta 9. It has a small dance floor but people dance
everywhere in the bar, and the air condition is very good.
At around 2:00 o'clock the
crowd leaves for Mediterraneo at Calle San Bonaventura 6. It has a big
dancefloor and two big bars and at the second floor it has a relaxing room and
poolroom, it is just as big as a club. After Mediterraneo around 4:00 o'clock
the people goes to Club Trailer at Calle Angel Vidal 36. It is OK with two bars
around a lowered dancefloor. If you still have energy after the disco there is
heavy cruising at the boardwalk along the beach. A good gym in Sitges is
Gimnasio Sitges at San Bartolomé 9, they have new machines ideal for pumping
iron for the evening or the beach. This was the 5:th time we went to Sitges and
we have always been very pleased with our stays in Sitges. We strongly
recommend Sitges for a gay vacation.
