- How to get an RS 232 port
for the MC16
- The synchronization port of the MC
16 allready contains the signals of an RS 232
port.
However, when you connect the synch-cable to it,
the pinning of the DB9F contact at the end of the
synch-cable becomes the same as if you connect a
zero modem cable to a standard PC RS 232 port.
- To return the pinning to a
standard RS 232 port, all you have to do is to
connect a real zero modem cable in serial with
the synch-cable. Then you have a true RS 232
connection at the DB9M or DB25M contact at the
end of the zero modem cable. (Se the note about
the wiring of the synch-cable,
and the note about how to connect a 56k modem to
your new RS232 port).
