The story behind Jacko

This lovely sticker was found by a Swedish guy called Jan, in the beginning of the 1960. He got it from the chaffur who was delivering  fruit to the local Konsum store in Källfallet (Sweden, Västmanland, Riddarhyttan). In these days Jan and his friend collected all kind of stickers not only fruit or banana labels. They used to put them on their bikes, books or save them in their sticker collection. 35 years later he saw my "Wanting banana stickers" advertise at a Swedish site for collectors and we did a trade!

It is really hard to find  information about the Jacko brand. But they are obviously from the beginning of 1960´s and came in the shape as a cute little boys head with the Jacko name on the cap. A different shape has occurred as a picture on a match-box from same years, early 1960's. You can read about the matchbox with the Jacko brand in the Banana Label Gazette, volume 2, issue 1.

Here is three other type of Jacko as a cute boy, but unfortunately I don't have them in my own collection.

3 other types of Jacko, NOT in my collection.

Here is two different looking Jacko stickers with the "matchbox" banana bunch to the left. Please let me know if you know something more about them!

Two different Jacko, not in my own collection...

Thanks to Josef Binder, John Kirchner and Erich Hinrichs for images and information.
