We made it to Cairns after all, but because of the cyclon we had to go through the inland from Townsville, and the closer we came to Cairns, the more it rained. The next day however the sun was back. Here we are taking the cable car over the rain forest up to the town of Kurunda.
The water falls in the rain forest were filled with water. Wonder why?
After Kurunda the went to Port Douglas north of Cairns and visited the Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary where the have many birds and other animals. This is a parrot, I think.
We could feed some of the animals, and the Kangaroos were very hungry.
I wonder if he's hungry too? 'Trust me', he said.
Back in Cairns and another beautiful day. Time to go out to the Great Barrier Reef.
