A catamaran took us out to Michaelmas Cay on the Great Barrier Reef, where we could try both snorkling and scuba diving. Here you see me just going into the water.
On the way back we had some entertainment on the boat too.
The people on our coach had learnt to have a home among the Gum Trees. It wasn't the last time we heard that song.
After Cairns we went west and saw the first, but not last, of the Australian 'outback'. Here we have Happy Hour at the camp in Mount Isa.
Now we're getting closer to Darwin. This picture is from the thermal pools at Mataranka. The temperature in the water was at least 32 (Celcius), so you didn't get much colder in there.
At Adelaide River just south of Darwin we met Charlie, a famous film star. He has been in one of the Crocodile Dundee movies.
