Michael is on his last year in school before starting university studies – probably a computer engineer program.

The normal routine for guys of his age has previous years been to do military service. As the political situation is better in our part of the world after the fall of Soviet Union, the size of our previously strong defence has decreased rapidly. Nowadays only approx. 30% are drafted. Hopefully he will be among the 70% not doing any service.

In his spare time he plays the saxophone and also steel drums in a samba group. They are performing all over the world. The latest performance abroad was in France and next year they are invited to Brazil. The studies will probably stop Michael from participating in that show, as he would have to be away from school for two weeks. He is also singing in choir and acting in some plays. His great-grand father made some attempts in Hollywood and as Cata loves to perform, it is obvious where he has his roots.

Cata is working full time in spite of her aching back. She really enjoys working for the SAS. The company is also supporting her very much. She has been on rehabilitation the last three autumns in the Canary Islands for 2-3 weeks, all paid for by SAS.

The warm weather really helps a lot, so I guess we are living in the wrong part of the world. A new operation is scheduled for the beginning of 2000. Hopefully that one will do more good than the previous attempts!

Staffan has been very active in  Lions Club, where he is the President this year. A number of new activities to raise funds, among others a Christmas Magazine for our little town. It turned out to be a big success.

Michael's older brothers are doing fine.

Johan is a Food & Beverage Manager at big hotel in Stockolm. His wife, Nana, is working as a purser on Britannia Airlines. 

Chiff is working for Ericsson and is travelling a lot to the Far east. 

Peppe is studying econimics for a Master Degree at the College in Gotland (the big island in the Baltic Sea) and is living together with his girlfriend Jenny.
