1. Installation:
  1. Connect the PSTN line (cable type : RJ11) into the left-hand side jack
  2. Connect one end of the black telephone cable (RJ-11) provided to the telephone socket of your standard telephone. And connect the opposite end to the socket on right hand side on the back of M2F.
  3. Finally put the mobile phone on the cradle then plug the power (DC-Jack) to the central bottom on the back of M2F,LED of M2F will tune ON.
  4. After you power on the M2F, you will see the car mode on the mobile phone LCD display. It means this installation completed.

  1. After finish the M2F installation, you can test it with following step
  2. Use the standard phone handset which connected in M2F to make a outgoing call through PTT network by just dial the phone No. after you hear the tone or through cellular network by hook up the handset and push the flash button on regular phone one times then dial the phone No.( when no tone sound,LED of M2F is tune off).
  3. Use any of mobile phone or regular phone to dial the mobile phone and standard phone which connected in M2F to make sure this M2F system can receive the call from PTT line or cellular network.

INSTALLATION

Installation of M2F requires the following steps:

  1. Configuration and connection of the mobile phone.
  2. Cable connection.
  3. Connect to the local operator
  4. Connect a standard telephone
  5. Connecting the antenna (Optional).
  6. Connecting to the mains power
  7. Status Indication.
  8. System verification to ensure that M2F functions as required.

 

 

1. Configuration and connection of the Mobile Phone

Necessary configuration and connection of the mobile phone are:

    1. Power on your mobile phone
    2. Set the mobile phone volume to maximum level.
    3. Place your mobile phone to M2F cradle. ( M2F product series offer different cradle for different mobile phone )

 

2. Cable Connections

Connect the cables as described in the following steps. Figure 1 shows the general view of the cable connection you will be making in the installation. The procedures following will provide specific steps for you to follow.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Connect to the Local Operator:

    1. Detach your standard telephone from the cable connecting it to the

wall socket.

2. Connect the cable to the socket marked LINE at the back of M2F.

 

4. Connect a Standard Telephone:

    1. Connect one end of the black telephone cable provided to the telephone socket of your standard telephone.

2. Connect the opposite end to the socket marked TEL at the back of M2F.

 

5. Connecting the Antenna (Optional item)

Distance the antenna from the M2F for optimum hearing quality.

Connect the one pin antenna cable to the external antenna point of your mobile phone. Note that various mobile phones may have the antenna connecting point in different places.

 

6. Connecting to the Mains Power:

    1. Insert the Power adapter cable to the socket marked POWER.
    2. Connect the Power Adapter to an AC mains wall socket to initiate an established electrical current.
    3. Verify that the mobile screen recognizes M2F as a charger. The message "CHARGER CONNECTED" or similar, should be displayed, notifying that recharging has begun.

 

7. M2F Status Indicators

When the M2F is connected to a mains power, it automatically performs a self-test. This test verifies the proper operation of the M2F and identifies a connected mobile device. The LED show red when you place the mobile phone to the M2F cradle and at the same time M2F will charge the mobile phone automatically. When you plan to make an outgoing call through regular phone then the LED also show RED. On the other hand when you make an outgoing call through mobile phone then the LED show GREEN.

 

8. System Verification

Once you have connected M2F as described above, it is recommended that the following tests be performed.

 

Test Outgoing Calls:

  1. Place your Mobile Phone to M2F cradle
  2. Lift the standard telephone handset from its cradle. A clear dial tone should be heard.
  3. Place a call to a cellular number after you push the flash button again.
  4. Wait for several seconds and verify that a phone No called is displayed on the Mobile LCD.
  5. When the called party answers, you should have a clear bi-directional voice

path via the mobile connection.

6. End the call by replacing the standard telephone handset on its cradle.

Test Incoming Calls:

1. Place your Mobile Phone to M2F.

  1. Using another telephone, place a call to your mobile phone. The standard
  2. telephone set should ring.

  3. Answer the call. You should have a clear bi-directional voice path via the

mobile connection.

4. End the call by replacing the standard telephone handset on its cradle.

The ideal solution for busy callers needing a personal, flexible and convenient way to converge fixed line and cellular calls on the desktop.

 

With this M2F mobile phone users can feel free to enjoy cellular phone features via the convenience of a regular phone handset. Basically M2F is designed to sit next to your regular phone in your home or office, enabling user to receive calls both from the cellular network provider and a regular telephone operator. You can select to use the regular phone handset or its speakerphone if available.

 

When user ‘s mobile phone and regular phone are connected to the M2F, user can also using the regular phone handset to make a outgoing calls through cellular phone network or regular phone network (PSTN).(Fig.2)

 

Using M2F is very simple: just place the mobile phone on the M2F cradle. From this moment, while your mobile phone is recharging, this elegantly designed cradle redirects all the incoming calls to your mobile phone and converges them with the fixed telephone system. M2F at home connected in line between the PTT socket and the regular telephone set. M2F operates as a two lines PBX.(Fig.3)

 

Also,SAVING MONEY when M2F direct connection to the cellular provider bypasses the PTT when calling to cellular subscribers,thus saving the interconnectivity charge and preventing the double charge.

 

INCOMING CALLS: Incoming calls to your regular phone number (via the PTT) as well as incoming calls to your mobile phone number are received at the M2F. M2F directs both types of incoming calls to your home telephone set, and provides intelligent switching services in the case of two simultaneous calls.

 

OUTGOING CALLS: Outgoing calls are made as always from the regular telephone set. M2F may be programmed direct outgoing calls through the attached mobile phone. Otherwise, outgoing calls will be directed, as always through the PTT network.

 

AT OFFICE AND SOHO: This well-designed item on the office table or at the secretary's station will enable you to converge all your incoming cellular calls, into the fixed (regular) phone.

You can choose one of your fixed phone line to connect with M2F which phone can be specially use both for cellular network and regular phone function. (Fig.4)

Line (Fig.5) so,every extension phone can use cellular network line to save cost

in internal network rate.

PACKAGE CONTENT

The components included in the M2Fpackage are in Table 1. Use the number legend to correlate parts. Please ensure that all M2F components are accounted for and that no damage has resulted during shipment. This M2F box contain followings components:

1. M2F base stand (cradle)

containing M2F system and connectors. Also serves as a mobile phone rest

2. Standard phone jack

(Double sided RJ-11 cable)

Connects M2F to the regular phone.

3.Antenna connector (optional)

Connect mobile phone to the external antenna for improved reception.

4. Power Adapter

Connects M2F to an electrical outlet.

 

 

 

OPERATION

Once the M2F has been fully connected, calls can be made/received and mobile features accessed. After connecting the standard and mobile phone to M2F, dial the saved mobile number (via the cellular phone) and wait a few moments for a ring back to be heard on the standard telephone indicating that a proper connection is provided. After lifting the standard telephone handset, a clear bi-directional connection should be available. Out going calls are routed by default to the cellular provider. The features for the user plan to dial a phone number which saved in mobile phone through the fix line.

Call Waiting

Call Waiting is a tone that is heard when you are busy on a call and a second call is received. The tone lets you know that another person is trying to contact you. Regardless of call type, M2F always ensures that you receive a Call Waiting tone.

So if you are using M2F for a Cellular Call and a second call is received from the standard telephone operator, you will still receive a Call Waiting Tone. This also applies if the reverse is applicable and you are busy on a call to the standard telephone

operator with a second incoming call from the Cellular provider. When a Call Waiting tone is heard you can place the current call on hold to answer the new caller.

 

When an additional call is identified, do the following:

  1. Press the flash button on the standard phone keypad to accept the incoming
  2. call. The original call is put on hold, without being disrupted.

  3. Press the flash button a second time to restore the original call, holding the

additional call.

In the event of a call waiting, and the handset was returned to its cradle, a ring back feature is provided to notify a waiting call. This applies only if the other party is still on the line.

 

Using the Hands Free Speaker Mode

One of the classic features offered by M2F is the ease and convenience of a "hands free" environment. This is of course available only when the standard telephone offers a speaker phone option.

 

Attaching/Detaching the Mobile Phone during a Call

Whether the call was made or received, the mobile user can attach or detach the mobile phone to/from M2F during a call without disruption.

Note: To continue concurrent calls on the Mobile phone, do not return the handset to the standard phone before detaching the mobile phone from M2F this can terminate the call.

Automatic Recharging

When a mobile phone is connected to M2F it automatically starts recharging.

 

 

TROUBLESHOOTING

What can go wrong?

It is important to connect only a compatible mobile phone with M2F. Each product package will be explicit as to what type is compatible for the accessories included.

FAQ’s

Q: What happens if I need to leave the premises and take my mobile phone while in the middle of a conversation?

A: Do not place the standard phone handset back on the cradle. This will terminate the call. First detach the mobile phone from M2F cradle. Then the standard phone hand set can be returned to its cradle.

Q: Must I terminate a current call on my mobile phone when I want to connect my mobile phone to the M2F?

A: No, there is no need to terminate calls when connecting to the M2F during a concurrent call. Simply attach the M2F mobile cable to a mobile phone and wait a few moments for a ring back on the standard phone. The concurrent call continues..

Q: What if there is no dial tone to be heard after pressing the speaker button?

A: In the event you don’t hear a dial tone, check to make sure that all connecting cables are secure in their respective place- particularly the mobile cable that connects directly to the mobile phone and H2F

Q: If there is a power interruption, will my Mobile phone still continue the call?

A: Yes, the call will be automatically transferred to the mobile phone. However, detachment from M2F is necessary to continue the call on this situation.

Q: If there is a power interruption, will I still be provided regular telephone service via my standard phone?

A: Yes. The local telephone service is still available.

Q: If there is no local phone service, is it still possible to make/receive calls via my standard phone when my mobile and standard phones are both connected to the M2F?

A: Yes. Whether you are connected to the M2F or not, service can be provided by the mobile service provider- even when the local service is not applicable.
