Focus on China

I have been deeply involved in China Studies since my first trip to Beijing in 1989. I have made nine trips to China in ten years, either for business, research or pleasure. I have traveled extensively in China and visited over seventy locations, urban and rural.

My academic career has also been focused on China Studies and East and Southeast Asian Studies, resulting in a large number of articles and theses regarding a wide range of topics in the fields of Business Administration, Economics, and Political Science.

In recent years, my focus has gradually shifted to business and economics, and I have paid particular interest to the way in which Chinese economic development and globalization has changed the life of the Chinese people. I have conducted researches on the subject of commercial application of Internet and e-commerce potentials in China.
