Welcome to FF4. This game is long. I will guide you through the whole game.
You will start as a member of the Red Wings. You will see your guy, Cecil, steal a crystal from Mydisa. Cecil does not know why the king wants the crystal. Soon you will land in Baron. You will tell the king that you do not know why he wants the Crystals. He kicks you out of the Red Wings and gives you a package. Go get the treasures. Press the a button on the switch. It will open the blockage. Go to bed. When you wake up, Kain joins you. You will exit the castle. Go to the town and get as many cures as you can buy. Search the town for hidden treasures. There are many hidden treasures in Baron. Save. Now you should go in the Cave of Mist. You will encounter tougher monsters in the cave then you did while walking to the cave. The monsters are easy. Get all the treasures. You will have a choice, sort of. You can go further, or go back. Go further. This will anger the monster who gave you the choice, and you will fight him! He is pretty easy. Use Kain's Jump. Don't attack him when he's mist! When you beat him, you can exit the cave. Use a tent and save! Enter the village of mist. When you enter the village, your package opens, and bombs come! The king wanted you to kill Callers. You see a little girl. You will talk to her. Her family is a Caller family. They can create monsters. You killed her mother's dragon, which killed her mother, too! She is angry. She attacks you. You can attack her, if you want. She calls Titan, and he makes an Earthquake!
You will land in another area. The road that used to be open to this area has now been blocked by mountains because of the earthquake. The girl is with you. Bring her to the Inn in Kapio. During the night, soldiers attack you! Destory them and the girl will tell you she is Rydia. She joins you. She can't do much until she gains a couple levels. Let her learn a couple spells. When she knows a couple spells, go in the house that is on the north-east side of town. You will discover that Rosa is sick. She needs a special cure called the sandruby. You hear the vicious Antlion has the ruby. Buy tents. You should now go in the cave. You will meet Tellah the Sage. He will join you. Explore the cave well. You may find many treasures. After awhile you will find a save point. Don't worry, Tellah has a tent that you can use. Save here. Make sure Rydia knows Lit-1 by now. Soon you will receive the Darkness sword. It is more powerful than the Shadow sword you have. Equip it. Now you will be on land. Sleep in a tent and save. You will face a boss soon. You will receive some Darkness armor. Equip it. Now you will face the boss, Octomamm! It isn't too tough, if both Rydia and Tellah have Lit. Have Rydia and Tellah use Lit. Have Cecil use his sword. Tellah should also cure everyone if it is needed. Soon you will destory the monster, and be able to go to Dancyman.
Save. When you take a few steps out of the cave, you will see the Red Wings attack Dancyman! When you walk in, take the right side. You will find some treasures. Now go in the middle. You will see many people on the ground. They say the Red Wings stole the Crystal. Go up all the stairs, soon Tellah will meet Edward, who went away with his daughter, Anna. Tellah is angry at Edward. They fight each other. Soon Tellah leaves to avenge his daughter's death. It was Golbez who is seeking all the crystals. He is evil, and he had killed Anna. Now after awhile, you ask Edward for help getting the Sandruby. He's the prince, so he has to help you, you can't get the ruby without him. He isn't strong. Save. He comes with a cool hovercraft! Gain a level before you enter the cave. You can ride the shallow waters using the hovercraft. The cave has many treasures. Don't try to avoid monsters by not getting any treasures. You will find a new weapon for Edward. Soon you will see a save point. Save there. When you get to the place where you see a passageway that is through the cave, and you see stairs, you should go down the stairs. Now you must face the Antlion. Use Rydia's chocobo calling power. You better cure! His counter can hurt you a lot! After you defeat the Antlion, you get the Sandruby. Go back to Kapio to cure Rosa!
When you get Rosa, you all sleep. Edward will go out at night, and fights a weak monster. The monster gives his a lot of EXP. Anna is watching him. Now Rosa will join you! She is a white wizard. She knows curing spells. She can do what Tellah had done for you. Now, use the Hovercraft to get to the mountains! The mountains are high. There will be a save point. There will be some treasures. Make sure you are well equipped. The mountains are not very hard. When you reach the summit, you will see Yang, a Karate Man fighting monsters. When he fights the Mom Bomb, you help him. The Mom Bomb will explode into 6 smaller bombs. Make sure you keep everyone healthy. After you defeat the 6 bombs, you win! Yang will join you. Now you must protect Fabul from the Red Wings!
You may need to gain some levels first. Make sure everyone is well equipped. The monsters are tougher now. When you get to Fabul, buy all the Dark Equipment. It is needed. Sleep at the inn, buy some tents and cures, and save! Now, go to the King of Fabul. He will ask you if you want to help protect Fabul from the Red Wings. Say yes. Soon, the Red Wings will attack. Only the guys are fighting. You may wish you had Rosa and Rydia. The monsters that you will fight aren't very tough. Even if you beat all the monsters you face, they will get to the Crystal room! Now, here comes Kain! No, he won't help you. There's something wrong with him. He attacks you and beats you easily. Then his master, Golbez, tells him to take the Crystal. Golbez also takes Rosa. Well, they have the Crystal. The King is injured. Go to his room. You will get the Black Sword. There is a hidden path to the Black Shield. Use a Tent, and then save your game. You can gain levels, if you want. Anyway, go on the ship!
At first, the ride is peaceful. Then the waters start to shake! Levitan comes. Rydia falls out. Yang jumps in after her. Edward is injured! You end up on a beach, all alone. You actually are near Mydisa! Enter Mydisa. Nobody likes you. You stole the crystal, remember? Go to the Elder. He won't listen to you at first, but he will have two children join you. You must become a Paladin. Climb Mt. Ordeals. Palom and Porom are good. They have a deadly Twin attack.
The walk to Mt. Ordeals will take awhile. Make sure the Twins learn better spells. Use a tent next to Mt. Ordeals. Save. When you start to climb, you will see a conversation between Golbez and Kain. Continue on. Get all the treasures. You will find Tellah! Save at the save point. You will fight a boss! Use the Twin Attack, and also have Palom use Fire 2. The boss will die soon. Save again. Now you fight the first element, Milon Z! Use the best Fire attacks you have! He will die quickly if you use Fire 2 a lot! Enter the room. You will become a Paladin, but you must conquer your darkness. That's easy! Let him attack you. He will die. Do not fight back! Now you have become a Paladin! Tellah has gained all the magic powers! The Paladin will gain levels quickly for awhile. So gain some levels and get back to Mydisa!
Now, the people of Mydisa respect you! The Elder will open the gate to Baron. Buy all of the Paladin equipment! Don't sleep here. Baron is cheaper. In the Inn, you see Yang! He's against you. Fight him. Use your best stuff. Fire 3, Ice 3, Lit 3. He will die. He will come back on your side. You get the Baron Key, so you should go buy some new weapons for Yang. He needs them. Now get back to Baron Castle through the Old Waterway! The waterway is pretty easy. Yang should have lightning claws. They hurt water monsters a lot. After you get past the waterway, you enter the Castle! Baigan comes, but he is a boss! Use all of your best attacks, but make sure you don't use magic when he uses wall! After you beat him, sleep in Cecil's Room. Then go back into the waterway to save. Now, you will meet the King! He's not the King. He is the second element, Kainazzo! Use Lit 3! He will die easily. Cid comes and takes you to his Airship! On the way, the walls move in on you. The twins use the spell stone, and stop the wall, and kill themselves! You've lost them forever!
Now, when you get on the Airship, Kain comes. He will give you Rosa for the Crystal of Earth. You must go to Tororia to get the Crystal. The Crystal is not there! The Dark Elf has it. Visit Edward, who is injured, but will give you his Twin Harp. Metal items are not of use in the Dark Elf's cave. Buy the best non-metal protection you can get. Yang's Claws are unaffected. Sleep and save. Get a black chocobo to get you to the Cave. Go in the cave. It is tough fighting without your strongest weapons! You will make it to a save point, so save! When you get to the Dark Elf, you will fight him, and he will have you hurt, but Edward plays music, and the Dark Elf hates music! So, equip your strongest stuff, and kill him! After enough damage the Dark Elf turns into a Dragon. Use the spell of weak on the Dragon! Then hit him, and he's dead. You have the Crystal!
Now, you can enter the treasure room in Tororia! Talk to Edward. If you want to get stronger armor, you can go to a small island where they sell Silver Armor. You should go to the room where the 8 Clerics are. Kain wants you to come to Golbez's castle to trade the Crystal for Rosa. Save before you get on that airship! Go in your airship. Kain will bring you to Golbez's castle. The castle is huge! You will have to fight many tough monsters in here! In a treasure chest, you will face a dangerous Fire Dog! Cool it down with Ice 2 or Ice 3. The reward is the Fire Sword. There are many treasures here. Cecil will find some great equipment. You will also find a new weapon for Cid. You will find a Wizard shirt, which should not be used for Tellah. You'll know why soon. After you collect all the treaures, your tired party will find a save point. Use a cabin. Here you will fight 3 sisters. Kill the middle one first. You must put a wall on a character and strike them with magic. It will bounce off and hit one of the sisters. The middle one will have a wall on it! The little one will use the same stratgegy that you are using. After you destroy the middle one, the others are easy. Use a cabin before you go into the next room. Here is Golbez. Tellah is mad at him, and strikes him with all of his best spells, but they don't do much damage. Tellah uses Meteo! He hurts Golbez badly, but he dies himself. That's why the Wizard shirt should go to someone else. Golbez steals the crystal. The Meteo had gotten rid of Golbez's spell over Kain. Kain will lead you to Rosa, and you save her. You will have to get out of the tower, but the third element Vandalis (I may have spelled it wrong), awaits. Kain and Rosa have joined. When Vandalis is a tornado, Kain can jump on her to get her out of that form. Now you can strike her. Tellah is gone, so you don't have any black magic! She isn't too hard. When you destroy her, the tower starts to shake! Rosa uses the Spell of Exit.
Now you have warped to Cecil's room in the castle. Kain tells you there are still the Dark Crystals in the Underground World. He gives you the Magma key. Go to the town with the deep well. Drop the Magma key in the well. The mountain will open up, and you can go inside! Get on your airship and get in the mountain. There is a whole new world here. The Red Wings have already stolen two of the Dark Crystals. They are fighting the dwarves. Your ship gets hit, and you have to land. The ship is broken. Save here. You can't buy new weapons yet. You must guard the Crystal! Cid leaves you to fix his ship. You will fight some dolls that turn into a giant doll, that is tough to beat. After you destroy her, you must face Golbez! Have Kain jump to start off the battle. Golbez will trap all of your charcters, and kill everyone but Cecil. If Kain jumped in time, he will be with you. Rydia comes back and strikes Golbez with a Mist Dragon. She heals you. Golbez is weak against fire. You have the fire sword. Use Fire 2. You can also call a fire monster. Soon Golbez will die. His hand slowly moves to the Crystal and steals it! You hurt him badly, but he got the crystal. Now the Dwarves will let you buy weapons and armor. They have new weapons and armors you can buy. There are some treasures in the castle. Sleep in the inn and save. There is a tower that you must go in. First, there is a cave that you must go through. It's easy.
The tower is very tall. You will get some new weapons, but you will have to fight some monsters in treasure boxes to get them. There are many rooms. You will find many treasures. There will be a save point. Soon you will get some Ice Armor, which is needed for a boss you will fight soon. You will fight a crazy doctor's robot. Then when the robot is destroyed, you will fight the crazy doctor himself! He is very tough. Use Titan because his Earthquake is very strong. When the doctor dies, you get the key to a door that used to be locked. Go in that door, and you will fight three Dark Imps. Yang tries to turn off a switch, and he hurts himself badly. He is no longer with you. When you exit the tower, Golbez starts to break the bridge! Cid comes and gives you the airship! He falls down and gets hurt. You now are in the overworld again.
You should go to Baron to install a hook on your ship. Now you can take the hovercraft with your airship. Now there is a cave you can go in. Go in there. You can buy new weapons and armor there. Sleep and save. You should go further in the cave. You will see Edge, a Ninja, fighting Rubicant, the fourth element. He will die and Rosa will use Cure 2. He will join the party. You must now go in Rubicant's Tower.
This place has a lot of firey monsters. Good thing Cecil and Kain have a lot of ice equipment! This tower is larger than the first. You will fight some harder bombs. Use the best ice attacks you know. Have Rydia call Silva. You will face tough monsters. You will find some good treasures, too. Make sure that your characters are at a high level. The tower takes awhile to beat, but it isn't that tough. There are many treasures here! Save at the middle save point! The tower has 8 floors. When you are near Rubicant, you will find 82000 GP in a treasure chest! That is a lot. You will see Edge's parents. They are monsters now. Don't fight back when they hurt you. They will stop the fight. Rubicant plays fair. He will revive your HP before the battle starts. His weakness is ice. Edge is angry at Rubicant, and he learns the spell of Flood! Use Flood, Ice 2, and call Silva. Kain's jump is strong because he has the Blizzard spear. Cecil's attack hits a lot! Let Rosa use Cure 2 and Cure 3, if you know it. Don't attack him when he is using his cloak. When he dies, you will fall in a hole. You will be in the first tower, but in a new part of it. You will fight a few monsters, and then you will find a new airship! Edge names it The Falcon.
Fly into the underground world. The ship cannot fly over the lava. Land in Dwarf Castle. Have Cid repair it. He is hurt, but he will fix your ship. Go to the King. He will tell you to get the last Crystal before Golbez does. Luca gives you the Luca key, which opens the door to the place where the last crystal is. Fly down to the town on the south side of the underground world. Buy some better weapons and armor.
Make sure Rosa knows the spell of wall. Don't go in the place where the last crystal is. Go in the monster cave, a cave on a small island. Make sure you use float. There are many treasures in this cave. There are many tougher monsters. You will find a Ninja sword for Edge. It is good. Near the end of the cave, you find a treasure chest with tough monsters. The reward is good, though. You get a defender sword, which is a good weapon for Cecil or Kain. You also will find the Poison Axe, but you can't use a shield with it. You will now be in Monster Town. Buy new weapons and armor. Sleep and save. Go in the library. Go down to the lowest floor. You will fight Ashura. She will cure herself a lot. Use wall on her. You will get cured. After you kill her, you face Levitan. Rydia can call Ashura. His weakness is Lit. Use Lit 2. When you destroy him, you gain his calling powers. Save and exit. Now you will be ready for the next place.
Now, you must use the Luca key to open the door into the cave. The cave is tough. You fight many trap doors. Use Levitan. You will find the Light sword, which can be used for Cecil. After destroying many trap doors, you will enter a new area. After awhile, there aren't as many trap doors. You will see a save point. You will soon make it to the final door, but it is a trap door. You will find the Crystal of Darkness. Take it. You will have to fight a giant wall! Use all of your best attacks on the wall. After it dies, go to the beginning of the cave. Golbez will be there. He will take Kain. Kain says that the path to the moon is now open. Go to Dwarf Castle. Cid will add a drill to your ship! Now you can go to the overworld.
Go to Mydisa. The Blue Whale comes! It is a ship that can go to the moon! Go to the moon. Before you go, get on the old ship, and go to a small island. You will make a trade. You found a Rat Tail in Monster Town. This guy will give you something else for it. Go to the Underground World. There is this guy who needs what you have now. Give it to him, and he will make the Legend Sword become the Excalibur! The Excalibur is good. The moon is hard. You will go through some caves before you make it to a place. You will meet FuSoYa He knows every single magic spell in the games. He joins you. Go back to earth.
You will have to go in a giant. You will have to go through the whole body! You will have to fight new types of monsters! You will enter the mouth. You will find a save point soon. When you get to the last part, you have to fight the four Elements again! They are tougher this time! Luckily, FuSoYa can hit them hard. Rydia should know magic well by now. You may have trouble with Rubicant! Use your best spells on all of them. When you kill them, you haven't won yet! You still have to beat the core. Destroy the healing bit. Then attack the other parts. After awhile, the core will die. Kain joins you again. It turns out Golbez was hypnotised by Zemerous.
You are almost at the end of the game. Go to the moon. You can learn spell of Bamahut. Also, make sure Rydia knows a lot of magic. When you are ready, go inside the place you found FuSoYa. There is a place you will warp to. It is very tough! You will find some really good weapons. You will fight some tough monsters. You will find better weapons for Rydia and Rosa. Cecil and Kain will get very strong armor. You will fight a very tough boss, but if you beat it, you get the Crystal Sword! The level isn't that hard, it just takes awihle to beat. Make sure Rydia knows Meteo before you get to the final boss. When you get to a save point, save! Soon you will be at a new area, where you fight tougher monsters! Make sure you bought Edge some Ninja Stars. You will fight a boss. You will soon fight the boss of the game! I hear he has 110,000 HP! Have Rosa use Cure 4. Let Rydia use her best spells! Have Edge use some really powerful darts! Kain should jump. Have Cecil attack. If you keep doing this procedure, you will win!
