Population

Sweden has almost nine million inhabitants. Most of them live in the larger cities. The northern part of the country, and the inland, is much more sparsly populated than the south, mainly due to the richer job supply and closer proximity to the continent.

This pyramid shows the age distribution of the Swedish population.
