2001-12-22...Kaerup Switches To Associated/Reedy
Jonas KaerupEuropean and Danish top driver Jonas Kaerup has made the switch and is to drive for Associated and Reedy in 2002!

A surprise to many on the European scene is the switch from Losi to Associated which Denmarks Jonas Kaerup has announced. Jonas has the following comments on his change of sponsors:

I want to thank Team Losi and Peak Performance for the years of good cooperation and support, without them I wouldn't have been able to compete around Europe. I wish them both the best of luck in the future.

I am changing to Team Associated / Reedy because I like the way their team works at big races, and because I am amazed by the speed of the TC3 car. On top of the honour of achieving a deal with Associated, I also managed to make a deal with DHI from Denmark. I look forward to racing my new car and to get to learn my new team-mates.

/ Jonas Kaerup

It will be interesting to see how Jonas will perform at the upcoming DHI Cup in early January 2002 with his new gear, as the top of European drivers are to compete in the first International Touring Car race of 2002.

2001-10-18...New Powers cells
r3300.jpg (19289 bytes)Powers International will release new cells this winter with 3300 mAh. That's more capacity than any other cells on the market. Right now the best cells are the Sanyo RC3000HV and the Panasonic SMH3000. Powers GT-3000R have good capacity, but lack voltage. The question is if these new cells will have higher voltage. We will just have to wait and see.
