According to The Swedish Consumer Purchases Act (16 § konsumentköplagen (1990:932)) a product must be delivered with the instructions needed for its installation, assembly, usage, storage and maintenance. According to proposition 1989/90:89 s. 97, this usually requires that the instructions are written in Swedish.
The Consumer Purchases Act protects consumers who purchase goods as private individuals from an enterprise. The seller is held responsible for misleading information in advertisements, advertising on packages, etc., and the purchaser has the right to cancel a purchase.
