Through my two examination papers in Social and Economic Geography and my engagements at the University of Örebro I have gained good communication skills, both oral and written. I have also developed organisational skills.
University: Received a MFS-scholarship from SIDA, the Swedish International Development Corporation Agency, in 1995. This scholarship enabled me to conduct my examination paper in Social and Economic Geography at the University of Madras, India. For two months I did a Minor Field Study in the slums of Madras, where I interviewd poor women about their working opportunities. I have put this report, "The Vicious Circle of Poverty - A Gender Aware Approach" on the Internet.
Other: I have written articles for the local newspaper in my home town, Sala. Occasionally I hold lectures at the University of Örebro at the course "Human Geography" about my experiences in Madras.
Computers: I have an computer at home and are often surfing the Net. I try to stay á jour with mostly of the many interesting things that happens in the world of computers, communications and applications.
Physical training: On my free time I like to eighter walk in the woods or to go to a gym and do work out and aerobics.
Travelling: From October 1992 and to April 1993 I took one year off from my studies and took a trip around the world together with my fiancé. I have also travelled in Europe, India and Australia.
