The Ship's Shrine is a place of honor and worship on board a Klingon vessel. Klingon High Council directives require all cruisers to maintain a shrine when operating in the Delta Quadrant as a reminder of their heritage. A priest, adept or initiate is assigned as caretaker of the shrine. In addition to displaying traditional Klingon items each ship displays trophies, honors and conquests in the shrine. Opposite the Shrine's only entrance is a Dais, whose steps lead to the ritual fire pit. Behind this is a ghochwI', a rendition of The Tracker (the constellation Kahless pointed to when he said 'I'll be there'). Against the walls are a 'Iw 'Ip ghmoey, the sculpture depicting the Klingon blood oath, and a quv bey', the honor display holding two bat'lelh and d'k tahg for ritual duels. Six 'oy'naq, painsticks, lay in a case below the ghochwl'. Banners are hung around over the Dais. The central, highest banner is traditionally represents the Klingon Empire, though in the Delta Quadrant the joint Klingon-Federation symbol flies here. To the weapon hand of the Dais (right if standing on the Dais and facing the room) is the Commanding Officer's House banner (House of Selpch on the T´Ong). On the other side hangs the banner of the Shrine's caretaker (House of D'Kruyl on the T´Ong). The following is a list of Ship's honors: ***************************************** Control Circuit of an Exocomp. Taken from the devices when a saboteur had programmed the droids to 'unmodify' the ship during her initial construction. Folded banner of the House of Selpch. Mak'Tash, of the Beroth chapel, transferred caretaking of the shrine to Konngol, originator of the Tyr'Kahless chapter, on stardate 2397.0302. The former caretaker's banner was taken down and placed here. Nausicaan skull and Necklace of Nausicaan Teeth. Carved into each tooth is a name of each warrior that was killed during a boarding action in the um'Bech asteroid field. Blob of Genetic Proto-matter in a Stasis Field. This is what is left of Madame Q's hand which was severed in combat by Kluj. It rapidly decomposed during Kodin's scientific analysis. What is left is placed in stasis here at the Shrine. JemHadar heads impaled on a communications attenna and the ashes of a Changeling. All from the attack on the Dominion listening post. Jagged metal fragment of a JemHadar fighter which was rammed by Konngol in a B'Rel scout ship during the battle near Fargos V. Held in a stand it is less than a half meter in size with sharp edges, some of which were discolored black and red. The black discolor was from the explosion and the red, Konngol liked to think, was the blood of the pilot. Data Crystal of the Unhomed. A data crystal that Kluj and crew had received from the aquatic aliens is also in a stand similar to the fighter debris. Fragment of a Borg stuck in Tark's battle armor. From an engagement which the T´Ong not only fought the Borg, but also Romulans, Ferengi, Cardassians, Klingon rebels and Madame Q. Torn piece of cloth that had once been part of Madame Q's dress but was torn off by Kodin during the same battle mentioned above. Piece of the Torpedo that almost destroyed T´Ong in the pursuit of Talquis. It is set in half light and half shadow for effect.
