the guru jazzmatazz volume 1

the guru mixes hip-hop with live jazz, and he's doing it good. most of the songs have a nice hiphop beat and the more jazzy instruments like trumpet fits very well.
atari teenage riot delete yourself

this is a much better recording than 'the future of war'. the production quality is also much improved. some of the tracks sounds like space-fillers though.
tricky pre-millennium tension

tricky does it again. this record is probably his best. the beats and rhythms are stranger than most. i particularly like som of the slower, almost monotonous tracks like 'ghetto youth'.
sneaker pimps becoming x

influenced by depesche mode and trip-hop beats and sounding a bit like garbage, sneaker pimps have a very good sound.this is their best record to date.
massive attack blue lines

this is massive attack's break-through album. they mix soul with slow beats. there are no songs which stand out in particular, but the overall expience is very soft and nice.
korn a.d.i.d.a.s.

a single concisting of 3 mixes from the korn 'life is peachy' record. one new song. didnt like it that much, although the first mix is rather good.
nearly god (tricky) heaven

tricky has (had?)  a special contract in which he could release one record a year under a different name. this is the 1996 tricky record under his name 'nearly god'. tricky collaborates with björk, terry hall, martina topley bird, alison moyet and ded madden and his forage into the land of strange rhythms ,raspy voices and atonal sequences work very well. youll have to listen to it many times before you really like it.
suede dog man star

rating.gif (193 bytes)rating.gif (193 bytes)rating.gif (193 bytes)rating.gif (193 bytes)rating.gif (193 bytes)

this is the best record released yet by the british quartet suede. the songs are full of emotion and the texts are very good. brett andersons song is better than ever. if youre feeling down (or want to feel down), then this is for you.
