Hehe..it's been a while gang..hope your still watchin' this page for...KICK ASS Quake screez...:)Quake 2 is out!
Meaning you can buy it in almost any computer/software store :) This version is allot better than that q2test thingie, this is the REAL thing. It rox in single play, awesome graphic, colored lightning effects (tons of em even) and loads of other cool effects. With a 3DFX card that is. Without a 3dfx card Quake 2 is really another game, it jerks BIGtime. Even in the lowest res on a P233! With a 3dfx crad you can happily play it on a p166 in 640x480, it might not run excately perfect but it runs good. Meaning a fps between 24-30 om my cpu anyway (P166 48 ram mystique 2 R3D) But and a big BUT even the Multi part (wich quake (1) was all about) and I guess quake 2 is all about multiplay also coz singleplay is by all means quite fun, but playing against other people and gettin the chance 2 beat em up BIG time really rox It's what quake is all about! And q2's multiplyer mode really sux, now they might get it workin' after some patches and stuff like that, but until then Quake 1 RULZ!
One thing that I've noticed is, that either all quakers are gettin' allot better or I´ve lost some of my skills, hmm guess it has 2 be that all are gettin' better...
Quake SM is long past and I didn't win :( Hehe didn't think I would either. I ended up quite good anyway, quarter final. I might have done better if i had my own mouse with me, like almost all the rest had.

Trust me I've been around the gameworld for a very long time, back when C64 ruled and Iceclimber considered a Break thru! Now we have Quake, simply the best MUlLIplayer game ever made, let's face it quake is almost designed for multiplay. Single play is of coz fun for a while but it's when you play MULTIPLAY that the real fun kicks in. I started playing in november 96. A friend told me that Quake on the Internet is far out. I said something like. "Doesn't it run slow and isn't it kind of complicated to get it working?" He just said "try it". And I did. Hehe Now I'm completely and utterly HOOKED! I used 2 play allot of 1 vs 1 over modem and thought it was fun. But after a match on the Internet with up to 16 players at the same time I didn't play any 2 player game again.
