Home Up Hobbies
The hobbies in Holland and Sweden are pretty much alike. In Holland, young people often go to discos and listen to music. Some other people practice different sports, such as football, tennis, swimming, handball etc.
The most popular sports in Sweden are football, hockey, floorball, basketball, skiing, swimming and riding.
They play the same sports in Holland, except that they don't ski or play floorball. In Holland they also play tennis and softball. If you practice a sport regularily you are almost always in a sports club, both in Sweden and in Holland. Some people train without being in a club.
People who train in a club train more regularily, like every week. Playing a sport in Sweden is less expensive than playing a sport in Holland. Football, for example costs about 300 kr. a year in Sweden, and 800 kr. a year in Holland.
In their free time, Swedish girls often go to Stockholm to shop or go to cafés. Sometimes they go to Jakobsberg, too. Swedish boys hang around with their friends and watch TV.
In Holland, people also watch TV and hang around, but girls from Holland go to the centre of Enkhuizen.
In Holland, people don´t go to the cinema often, but they go to discos. In Sweden some people don´t go to discos often, and some do. Swedish people go to the cinema more often than people from Holland. Both people from Sweden and Holland think that it´s expensive to go to the cinema.
When someone in Holland has a birthday they usually have a party and go drinking.
In both Sweden and Holland different people like different music. Some like HipHop, some like Trance etc. People in Holland and in Sweden are almost the same.Anna Nilsson
